People with Statutory Health Insurance (GKV)
As a patient covered by public health insurance, your health insurance provider covers the costs of medically necessary basic services. A fixed-subsidy system applies to dental prosthetics. Cosmetic procedures such as veneers, teeth whitening, or high-quality implants are not covered by public health insurance—we would be happy to advise you on these options individually.People with Private Health Insurance (PKV)
Private patients are billed in full according to the GOZ. Depending on your plan, your private health insurance will reimburse 80–100% of the treatment costs. After your treatment, we will issue you a detailed invoice to submit to your insurance company.Self-Pay Patients & IGeL Services
Certain services—such as professional teeth cleaning, high-quality ceramic restorations, or cosmetic treatments—are billed directly as individual health services (IGeL). You will be informed of all costs in advance and will give your express consent.
Transparency in Billing
We place great importance on transparent communication—especially when it comes to costs. Before any more extensive treatment, you will receive a detailed treatment and cost plan.
Fee Schedule for Dentists
Dental services are billed according to the Fee Schedule for Dentists (GOZ). It governs the fees for private patients, self-pay patients, and the copayment for patients with public health insurance. The service rate is calculated as follows: number of points × point value × adjustment factor. The current point value is 5.62421 cents (as of 2026). The adjustment factor ranges from 1.0 to 3.5—a factor of 2.3 is considered the standard rate.
